- 06:30 Walking meditation (Kinhin) — a full-day hike in any weather
- 20:30 Dinner
- 21:00 Dharma Talk
- 22:00 Lights out
The schedule is deceptively simple: rise before dawn, sit in stillness, then walk until well after dark.
Stripped of ordinary concerns, the mind settles into the rhythm of step after step. Each step, reminding us that everything returns into THIS.
We walk in any weather — sun, wind, or snow. The mountains teach us acceptance. Cold is simply cold. Wet is simply wet. What we call problems is merely our made-up resistance to what is. We learn that our suffering is in direct proportion to the strength of the expectation. By walking through whatever the day brings, we cultivate a heart that meets all conditions with equanimity.
By evening, we return to the warmth of simple food and fire. The boundaries between self and landscape have become transparent.
