3-day-retreat at Lambda Zen Temple – Day 2: Hiking meditation

The monthly Zen meditation retreat at Lambda Zen Temple is a three-day program where we re-examine the true self through zazen, kinhin and samu. Day 2 traditionally takes us out into the Swiss Alps for a full-day hiking meditation (kinhin).

During this summer retreat we climbed the slopes below Vorderglärnisch and Schilt. Moving mindfully through the blooming alpine meadows we synchronised every step with the breath and the surrounding sounds — becoming one with the mountain path.

Everyone is welcome to join the retreat for the full three days, for individual days or simply for a tea. Newcomers, however, are required to participate for the complete schedule.

The direct inquiry into the nature of the true self is the heart of our 3-day Zen Meditation Retreat in Switzerland. By stripping away distractions, we create the space to truly examine the nature of the self. We invite you to join us at Lambda Zen Temple to experience this path yourself.
