Bodhisattva Vows

A Bodhisattva is considered a being who pursue the highest levels of knowledge and wisdom and strive on the way of enlightenment to realize it themself in order to use it for the salvation of all living beings. The core idea is not only to get enlightenment themselves and for themselves alone, but instead to help all other beings, also from the endless cycle of life & death.

  • Sentient beings are numberless: Therefore, I vow to liberate them all.
  • Delusions are inexhaustible: Therefore, I vow to end them all.
  • The Dharma gates are countless: Therefore, I vow to master them all.
  • The Buddha way is unsurpassable: Therefore, I vow to attain it.
